Doval Doctrine of Defensive Offense successfully deters Pakistan from launching terror attacks on Indian civilians

When Congress was in power terror attack was a normal. Pakistan and Islamists succeeded in instilling fear and used that as a weapon to keep us under pressure and slowly break us. During 10 years of Congress led UPA regime, India faced nearly 40 terror attacks, which translates into 1 terror attack per quarter.
Since PM Modi came in power, terror attacks on cities and civilians reduced to just 1. This is because PM Modi significantly tightened intel and security and used fear as a counter measure to keep Pakistan and Islamists in check. Initially Pakistan and Islamists tried low cost attacks on border cantonments, but PM Modi raised the bar and costs of those attacks by ordering Armed Forces to undertake surgical strike and air strike. This was NSA Ajit Doval’s Doctrine of Defensive Offense, wherein India should always be ready for an aggressive offensive action against Pakistan in case of any terror attack. NSA Ajit Doval calls this modus operandi of defending the country and its civilians by being ready to launch an offensive, as Defensive Offense.
It is surprising that initially Congress didn’t take action against Pakistan by citing Nuclear War fear because Pakistan is a Nuclear State. After PM Modi came in power, Pakistan used Congress’ dialogues of “Nuclear War” to threaten and deter India from initiating counter action. After surgical and air strike Pakistan has gone totally silent on the nuclear threat card. This is because Congress and Pakistan used fear of nuclear war to threaten and weaken us and thereby deter us from taking action against Pakistan, but PM Modi called off their bluff.
This is how we must respond to terror, instead of the pusillanimous approach that Congress used. Doval Doctrine of Defensive Offense has worked wonders in successfully detering Pakistan from launching terror attacks on India.
